Antonia Fraser’s latest book Must You Go? tells the story of
her life with Harold Pinter through her diaries, from the moment
they met in 1975 up until his death in 2008, interleaved with
later recollections and memories. She describes it as a love
story, but her book also offers a most revealing insight into
the public and private life of a marriage between two very
different creative writers at the top of their respective fields of
work. Lady Antonia pays special attention to any green shoots
where Pinter’s writing is concerned, which are of special
interest as the playwright was famous for never explaining the
enigmas of his work.

Nocturne chronicles the life of one of the greatest and most treasured composers
for solo piano – Frédéric Chopin. The narrative follows his turbulent relationship
with the controversial literary figure George Sand, their time together in Majorca,
his fragile health, and his ultimate demise in poverty in Paris at the age of 39. The
readings by Samuel West and Harriet Walter are interspersed with some of his most
loved and poignant compositions performed by Lucy Parham.
