A dramatic exploration of some of the glories of our literary heritage, drawing on
the works of Shakespeare, Milton and Samuel Johnson, through Jane Austen and
Byron, to Dylan Thomas and Betjeman, as well as some less well-known authors
who have entertained us and illuminated the human condition with insight and
humour. The selection runs the whole gamut from the lyrical to the comic, with
contributions from royalty to the man in the trenches.
