Winchester Schools Exhibition



The young artists at our five local secondary schools – Henry Beaufort, Kings’, Perin’s, Westgate and Osborne – bring their best work from years 10 and 11. Every year they display their extraordinary imagination and sophisticated techniques.

An exhibition by recent Fine Art graduates (Malcolm Crocker, Barbara Huckle, Andrew Pengelly, Jude Strawbridge, Angela Willis and David Wilson) from Winchester School of Art, exploring their interaction with the environment and how this is influenced by their experiences, families, friendships and networks.

Jane Austen was born, lived, wrote and died in Hampshire and is buried in the Cathedral. This creative exhibition will inspire and delight all Jane Austen admirers. Discover the person whose stories and characters have been enjoyed by generations. Cathedral entry fees apply.

Society Of Portrait Sculptors





The exhibition, titled In This Sacred Place, shows the power and eloquence of the portrait and the human figure made by sculptors who are direct inheritors of the figurative tradition. The exhibition, whose exhibits have been created by members of The Society of Portrait Sculptors, contains work of a sacred nature together with a collection of portraits of some individuals of historical importance to Winchester, its Cathedral and the nation.

Jon Burgerman






Jon Burgerman makes astonishing images, bursting with energy and imagination in his distinctive style. Working across a variety of media that includes drawing, painting, print, animation, large-scale murals and toy design, his art retains a hand-made, hand-drawn quality. Burgerman works and exhibits internationally, with an enviable client list including the BBC, Pepsi, Sky, Sony and Kidrobot. You’ll have loved his quirky doodles on global products such as iPod and Apple laptop sleeves, or his animations on MTV. He has a phenomenal talent and a huge following and we cannot wait to see what he brings.
